Burning Smell?

This isn't going to be the best symptoms I have ever given, but has anyone else experienced a burning smell coming from under the hood? I equate it to the smell of burning plastic (eg a trashbag). Is it possible I snagged some trash under the car while driving or is it something with the car? Let me know.

New Catalytic Converter - bad smell

Just got my catalytic converter changed out this week and for the next day the car really had a bad smell, especially at stop lights and I really noticed it in the garage.

It went away by the end of the 2nd day.

BTW, the car only had 2800 miles on it.

Mine has 3400 miles. I notice the same smell that was described above only when the car is cold (i.e. it has been parked in the garage overnight), until the car has warmed up.

Has anyone experienced this, or know what this might be?

Geez...

There's a lot of hostility in this thread...

What's up with that?

"You could suck at driving and be burning clutch..."

Not good Abbid. I hope you feel like **** for jackin' up his forum experience.

Let's try ta figure out why you responded in such a jackass manner...

Are you suffering from occasional abdominal pain or discomfort?

Are you experiencing the following symptoms:

loose or more frequent bowel movements, diarrhea, and/or constipation?

profuse forehead sweat?

Uncontrollable colonic spasms that cause you to cross your legs in hopes that you
don't leak ***?

Irritable bowel syndrome is generally classified as a "functional" disorder. So...it was probably hard to diagnose due to the fact that the disorder can not be diagnosed in a traditional way (x-ray or blood test).

It 's okay. Just don't frequent buffets or Indian restaurants.

500 guys before you have reported this symptom and they all had plastic bags stuck on the exhaust somewhere. You sir, I can safely say without fear of contradiction, are # 501....

I you do a search on the words plastic, bags, smells....you will see what I mean.

Cool Ignition coils

Could be the ignition coils got overheated, didn't some members also speak of this and finally the coils "****-the-Bed". Just a thought!

Did you find any plastic smoked off on your exhaust then?

It was a trash bag melted to the heat shield. Problem solved. Abbid...no hate.
