That is harsh...

I try to use the Japanese method: :p sorry it is in kilometers

<4000rpm for the first 1000km
<5000rpm for the next 1000km
<6000rpm for the next 1000km
<redline for the next 1000km

Then change oil

Finish!

I changed my oil after the first 1000km and then again at the regular 5000. I heard the engine makes the most wear particles when it's brand new so the sonner you run your engine and expel all that junk and change the oil the better. 20 buck's not that much for an oil change and cheaper if you do it yourself for peace of mind.

Its real easy to hit 4 grand on these cars. I think its 18 MPH in 1st . Its tough to always feel like your short shifting. I've got only 300 miles on my new RX8. I'm going to have to purposly extend my commuting time.
