I bought an 04 RX-8, only 29,000 miles so still under warranty plus I got the mazda certified warranty. So I feel pretty safe with this car. My sister has an 06 with AT and I loved it, but I hate AT. I had a 97 mustang cobra that broke a timing chain at 80,000 miles and smashed 4 pistons and 16 valves. I def upgraded! I do miss the power/torque of the v8 but the rx-8 is so refined I can overlook it easily. Thanks for reading!

the throttle responce gets a little better with a mazdaspeed intake and it wont void the warentee. make sure you get the newest ecu flash. the flash makes a huge difference!

Yeah, I've heard of how those piston engines with thousands of moving parts can suffer catastrophic ENGINE FAILURE if not perfectly maintained. Welcome to the rotary world.

 

the main reason i got the car was the miles, and i checked the carfax and the only service showing is a warranty on a squeak in the suspension, and thanks for telling me my 04 is the worst but you fail to put what year you drive or for that matter what car you drive in your profile.

 

lol and the biggest let down for me is the chains weren't scheduled to be replaced until 100,000 miles, just a fluke...the center chain broke...oh well sold the car at a big loss and went back into my import roots
