Body Kits for NZ ?
Hi there, does anyone know where to get Extreme Dimensions Duraflex body kits that can be sent to NZ ? I'm a new RX8 owner and not sure where to get stuff from, any help appreciated. Seems to be a lot of places in the US but they don't seem to reply to emails asking if they can freight to NZ

Hi Katdc
If you find the body kit you are after, I can tell you who can ship it to NZ for a good price for you.
I have used this company myself and they are a NZ shipping company based in the US.

Hope this is helpful

Have you read any reviews on said replica manufacturer?
It may be wiser to think twice about your purchase and find something authentic in japan - australia - nz that could ship for less and save you from an ugly body shop bill...

Any tips on what I need to consider ? I just looked at online shops selling bodykits and found one I liked the look of that was a reasonable price. I figured since it's a specilaist RX8 bodykit that it would be able to be fitted ok, so I'm guessing it's not that straight forward then

my suggestion: look for body kits at www.japanparts.com
these are all authentic body kits and original designs. Once you find what you like, then see if it's worth it to get a replica. example: If you look at the site and find out that you like Vertex Lang but can't live with the price, try a few web searches for vertex lang replica and see what comes up.
a word of advice: replicas are NEVER going to fit as well as the authentic japanese counter parts and your body shop will have to do more work on them (shaving, fiberglass, fillings, etc) in order to get close to OEM fitment so many times people find that after all the work needed, they might have been better off just buying the original.
All of those body kits will need to be painted (with the exception of Mazdaspeed but that's very expensive)
Also, shipping from Japan to NZ shouldn't run you nearly as much as it did for me to get my parts from japan.
good luck!

Hi Allistair
I imported some parts for a boat engine via this company and they even bought the parts for me, so all I had to do was pay them. The reason they payed for the parts was because the company I wanted the parts from would not ship outside the US, and so it was easier for Kiwishipping to buy the parts and I paid them.
If you want to contact me, my email is in my profile, I'll send you my phone number if you contact me.
Have fun

Cheers Rotaman, will contact you shortly.
Jedi - damn the kit that I like on that website is expensive ! Will have another look over the weekend ... I was thinking that the Extreme Dimensions kit being durafelx instead of fibreglass would make it more felxible and easier for a fitter/painter to work with and get a good fit - any thoughts on that ?
Unfortunately there's not many RX8's here so no "specialists" that do installs that I can speak to . I just got some spotlights installed this week and auto-electricians apparently had a lot of problems with getting the fornt bumber off and back on again and I noticed today haven't refitted the left side properly
One of the downsides of having a car like this I guess.
Another guy from NZ messaged me too coz he wants to get a kit too ...

Let me know if you need help shipping. My wife has handled shipping exotic cars and parts to shows for years. She was also featured on a Nat Geo Toughest Fixes show when Miami Divers had a special installling a rudder on a ship in the Caracas Bay, Curacao. She handles all their logistics. Could not find the vid but here is a good description of events.
