Bicycle Racks
I was just wondering what types of bicycle racks people are using on RX 8's. I have Saris bones but I don't want to use it. It left some marks on my last car. Thanks

I have the same rack, and I didn't have any problem. You could always get some felt and glue it to the feet, just make sure it's clean before you put it on the car.

Someone's using a Yakima. I have a THULE waiting to go on, but I need a fit kit for my car. Last I checked they didn't have one yet. I'm still waiting, I need to get in touch with them again.

I've got a Performance universal rack that I hang off the back. I got it for $49 on sale.
I would make sure that the car is clean at all the contact points where a strap-on rack is mounted. The foam and rubber tipped grabbers seem to work well enough as long as the surfaces they touch are clean. It seems to protect the car fairly well, leaving no marks in 4 uses.
I have also found that my 57cm frame road bike will fit in the back seat if I pull the wheels off and put them in the trunk. I use a moving blanket in the back seat to protect the interior.
