BHR products (motr mounts)

Is it better to get my motor mounts from BHR? I've searched all topics from 2006 to current but everyone has a different opinions about what mount is good to get.

One thing you will learn over time is that there is NEVER a consensus on anything. Asking for one just means that you will be attracting as many as possible. We are all humans after all (well, most of us), and we are different. So we have different environments, different preferences, different finances, different goals, etc...

So whether or not the BHR mounts are the best ones for you is pretty much dependant on just you, no one else. Their motor mounts ARE rather attractive in that you get all 3 stiffness pucks, so you can just swap them out until you get a feel you like. But we can't predict what you will like.

Do you get all 3 pucks? I believe you select the color you want and then can order the other colors separate should you need them

Edit:

Ah, he changed it. Just checked. Not entirely unexpected. Originally they shipped with all 3 puck versions.

You have to specify, but you can buy all 3 bushings individually.

Yea I believe that was the case as well. Makes sense. More of a set it and forget type of application unless you have a race build that constantly needs adjustment based on the track or environment.

As well as another way he can market it for a great price

I was originally surprised that you would get all 3, so it's not a surprise that you just pick the one you want on first order. Very few people will want to juggle them.

I just put a order in for these instead of paying $700 (MAZDA PRICE) at the same time they'll be installing my clutch and flywheel. Would it be necessary to buy a better mount for the differential?

Only one company makes upgraded diff bushings and not many people have gotten them, they are on my list but are a PIA to install.

This is the first I have seen much talk about these, curious how they compare to Rx8performance mounts.

99% of people get the aluminum. Steal mounts are for track regulation cars

I believe I read a while back when they were first introduced someone mentioned the Red ones being similar to using 80 shore poly? Probably want to email CRH to confirm.

Looks something like this installed:

My experience was much more direct front end feeling and throttle "crispness" at the expense of vibration and engine noise, so I ran the summer with them in and took them out once the track season ended. Will probably continue to do that, it's a 30 minute job to change. If you're doing track time, would definitely recommend.

I recently saw a prototype of these mounts at BHR here in AZ and I was impressed with their design/quality. They make the the OE mounts look like toys. When the next batch of BHR mounts arrives I hope to install a pair in my 8.
