I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where everyone lists the one best and one worst thing about owning a rotary powered vehicle.
I'll go first:

Best: Explaining to others that I don't have a V6.

Worst: Gas mileage.

 

Best: is smoothness and rev range.

Worst: is having to replace it at 20k.

Best: the thirst of driving rx8 anytime of day

Worst: actually driving it for no reason and wasting gas!

 

that wing on your car is f*cking huuuuuge O_O

 

best: it drives like a dream

worst: it's not such a good engine.

 

worse, everyone tells you you're running rich, even when you're not.

 

best: you get plenty of pie

worst: sometimes you just get toast

 

Best: The engine

Best: No matter how much you baby it or beat the sh*t out of it, it gets a consistent 18MPG =), atleast for me anyways.

Worse: Having to explain to people what a rotary engine is and you dont have any cyclinders and them looking at you dumbfounded like you're from outer space. =O

 

Best: How the car feels.
Worst: Having to agree that the car is 100 HP short of perfect.

Size of a four, power of a six, thirst of an eight, smoothness of a twelve.

 

Damn, I thought u're a super mechanic ? why didnt u take the engine apart and fix it urself ?

Cons : Hmm ..... dont know yet ...hmm ... to be honest this engine really eatz more gas than average

Pros : Smooth Revving, 9K rpm is fun.

 

Because only a retard like you would fix and engine under warranty. Don't you have a citizenship class to go to or something? Quit ruining this guys thread.

- the unconventional sounds of engine that give it such character: whirly burble at idle, smooth alveolar trill as the revs rise, gorgeous unmuffled scream to the redline, turbine-like whine off throttle... i love it!

- lost work productivity day-dreaming about the commute home

 

BEST: Smoothness of the Engine and plain fun to drive.

WORST: Gas Milealage that suxorz

 

Best: 9000 RPM
Worst: Explaining to people what a rotary engine is and how it works.

Best: It's a Mazda with a rotary engine.
Worst: NOTHING.

 

Well said...except if only it had the power of six. In which I'll be needing a supercharger. But I don't have a dozen grand to spend.
