That's what happens when the guy in charge is an oil man. I'm actually looking to trade mine in. When gas is going up like this, all those little things that are usually tolerable (squeaky brakes, mystery rattles, luke warm a/c...etc, etc, etc) just push me over the top.

Probably will be $4 / gallon by end of summer. MAKE IT STOP !!!!!!
Hell, if they go up to $10 / gallon we'd probably still buy it.

Note to all petroleum executives: Just kidding about the $10 / gallon thing.

I just paid $3.16 a gallon for premium. I think that's the last premium I buy for awhile now.

Yeah really, we in Canada will more than likely be paying more than $5/gallon this summer. People have been paying almost $10/gallon in Hong Kong for a really long time. Do you guys feel better?

sounds fair by chicago standards

anyways i hear 3.50-4 for the summer with some freaks speculating as high as 6 .. then future projections of 10-12 .. this is all on paper in one place or another .. mostly i look ms money .. yahoo finance and few other sites

while i dont see the 6 bucks this summer i think this is achievable in near future as eu and other countries hit that easily .. 3.50 is already here and 4 is probably where were gonna be for the summer

parting out your 8s in light of this .. feel free to send me a pm .. HAH

That is something I don't understand as well. Alberta has been cranking out huge amounts of that black gold, and Newfoundland is slowly catching up as well, but Albertans don't see the price any lower than the rest of Canada.

You sure? That's like 80 hong kong dollars. If they need ten gallons in their fill up, they might as well get out a check.

I try not to get too worked up about the cost of gas. I know the price changes a lot so it gets people worked up, not to mention it's what fuels our automobiles (which we love).

But I don't have sympathy for whiners because it is part of the cost of ownership. Just like you wouldn't buy an RV, a Ferrari or a boat if you couldn't afford the upkeep and cost to operate, same goes for a RX-8.

If your 8 is a daily driver and you are cussing out the poor gas mileage, that's really your own fault. There are other options out there.

Now Exxon-Mobil making all those obscene profits is another story, and a discussion I don't want to start. But we all know through the media every single day where gas prices are headed. So no one should actually act surprised or have any real reason to complain.

The real question is, how will you react? Personally, I am still comfortable with the current pricing, and if it gets people to be a little more smart about their usage, then I think it's a great thing. (flame on...)

my thoughts exactly. i knew what i was getting into when i bought it. hell i was even looking at getting a car much worse on gas at the time. i just put gas in when it needs it, and i'm done. while i'd like it to be cheaper, like i said, i knew what i was getting into, and i knew prices would inevitibly go up.

It was over $12.XX/Litre 2 years ago when I was there. $6.50 HKD = $1 CDN. So with the currency exchange and litre to gallon conversion it works out to roughly $7.50/gallon USD. Mind you that was 2 years ago.
