Backup Sensors?

I have a set of backup sensors that I have never installed. They can be installed in either a 3 sensor or 2 sensor setup. I was thinking about installing them on the RX8 not in the bumper, but rather the unpainted portion under the rear bumper. I was going to put all 3 center mass.

Yay or nay?

Not sure if it would be. I would have to test them I guess.

I thought those sensors are for huge SUV's where you can't see fully out the back. I think the 8 is low enough that you can see if anything/anyone is behind it.
