This baby hauls @ss and more...
Well it's been two weeks since got my 8, and I gotta say that I love this frickin car.
Everything is what I expected and more. The power is just right, the handling is phenomenal, the gas milage is fine (17mpg everytime).
Last night, after nearly 900 miles of pure joy I finally heard the buzzer. What a sweet , sweet, sound.
This car is very functional, too. I've had no problem hauling four full sized adults (and I'm a lot bigger than most people). The trunk has plenty of room. I installed carpet in my wife's office this weekend and I needed to rent a kicker and a stretcher. The stretcher fit perfectly in the trunk - even with the spare! I did notice a difference in handling with the extra 70lbs in the back, but it was only temporary.
One gripe, though not RX-8 related. It's been raining here every damn weekend since I got the car. I've had no chances to wash it. Oh, well, there's always gotta be something.
Overall I can say that I'm a happy man.

I'm not worried about driving in the rain. It's just the fact that I haven't been able to wash the car. Oh, and rain doesn't count as washing.
We finally had a nice day today, but of course I worked late tonight. The end of the week should be good weather too, so hopefully I will get the chance to shine the 8.
Two weeks, one day, and one hour, and I'm still lovin' this machine.

Amazing Machine
MadRonin, you sound how I feel to a T.
I have had my 8 for 43 days now, and I just love driving this car. WOW. I have had the great chance to shine her 3 times so far (4+ hrs. each time hehehe).
Try cursing along at 85-90 km/h in 6th, then drop her in 3rd and hold on¡K..buzzzzzz, WOW, and it purrrrrrs like a LION.
Id like to take a moment here to give my opinions to everyone about this amazing car!
I hear all kinds of bla bla bla about gas mileage on the 8?
WTH is this all about? I traded a 2003 quadcab dakota for the 8. Try 9 mpg! That was bad mileage. I was almost sad to see the dodge go........until I drove away in the 8! >>>what truck????? heheheheh. + The 8 is WAY funnier to drive.
The 8 is so fun to drive, the handling is fantastic, lots of power and it gets the looks from just about everyone, all ages. This car IS an attitude changer and I LOVE it. I also own 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that I never drive anymore nothing like the 8. Truly in a class of its own. (In her price range).
To all who are considering an 8.........DO IT you won¡¦t regret it. I love her more and more everyday!!! I have to give her a name, it¡¦s just not right!!! ƒº
Regards,
