Kids (ages 4 and 7) enjoy it too - but seem to sit too low and complain about not being able to see out of the rear windows - the seven year old is in a booster and the 4yr old in a car seat - any suggestions?
I suggest having them watch something else to keep them occupied. For example, if one of them can see the speedo from the back, have him/her call out the numbers to Mommy, who can't see the speedo from the passenger seat. That could make driving more interesting.

Japan8 - By fit I assume you mean how does my overweight *** fit into the car. Mine has a sunroof/moonroof (didn't really want it but why not), I didn't get the leather/power seats/seat warmers (also no spoiler and no nav package), I fit in the vehicle just fine although I did have to recline the seat a little as my cowlick (hair) was just touching the rim of the sunroof/moonroof and it tickled a bit. The stick is in a good spot and the pedals and steering column seem fine to me (I can still drive with my knee, a requirement for any long distance drive IMO). The car is a joy to drive and I think the exterior is georgeous.

My only complaint so far is that everyone and their brother seems to think I want to race off of every light...I need some kind of a decal for the back windows that states otherwise. So far I've driven the car 333 miles over 6 days and have been challenged to race by two porches, one bolt on saturn, one subaru impreza, and one lexus ("I will not race on public streets so leave me the **** alone." - I think a decal like that would get the point across).

I'm pretty sure that me, my GF, and infant will all fit comfortably into the vehicle (though I won't be taking any long trips with child on board).

I have two babies. Both fit easily. It's the stroller that is a pain, you must have a SMALL stroller.

I went with LATCH ccompatible seats so they can be easily removed and locked in SOLID as a rock. It's a great car, as long as it's not your primary vehicle.

There is a post here somewhere with a picture of a baby seat that matches the red/black interior of the RX-8. I really want to get one, but need to know how to go about getting it. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you.

Strollers are a pain. My wife and i got a Kelty Kid Carrier backback and rarely used the stroller after that. It folds down very small and fits in the trunk easily. It even has a built in detachable diaper bag so that's one less thing to pack.

It is a frame backpack and is very comfortable to wear. I got it for $80 on ebay a couple years ago. The prices have some down though. You can get them for that much from Sports Authority.

The nicest thing is we don't have to hunt down elevators in themall or worry about negotiating narrow aisles. And my kids love riding up high being able to see everything.

We have a Britax booster seat in our Trailblazer. Very nice...comfortable and safe...but it is HUGE. I avoid moving it in and out of the Trailblazer, I can't even imagine putting it in the back of an 8. Their baby seats were more normal sized. I think I'm going to get a second, more compact booster when I get my 8, and leave the Britax sofa in the truck.

We have the Britax Roundabout convertible infant seat. That is what we were able to fit in the 8. I'm not sure about their booster. We have a Graco booster
