Automatic Rx8 problem??

Hi, i want to buy an RX8 auto.

i just wonder does the extra maintenance apply to the auto version as well? (like start the car a few mins before moving, the engine need to be warm before shut down the engine. and how can i take auto car for a hard drive? because unlike manual i cant shift gear so no high rev)

i'm not that good with car but i really like RX8 because it has the look and also it really different from other car.

Yea all the extra maintainence applies I'm quiet sure your auto came with a manual mode when u put in drive push the handle one more time to your left and u r in manual mode
now once in that mode redline for a sec and change gears

autos are actually less maintenance I think since you dont need to worry about wearing out clutch

Please get a manual, if you can't at least get a 6 speed 4 port auto

To be honest, automatic RX8's are so neutered that you wouldn't even believe you're driving the same car if you jumped from an auto to a manual or vice versa.

Please consider a manual, even if you're not capable of driving a manual car just yet. It's actually not as hard as you think it is. I'm 17 and my first car is a manual RX8, its a lot easier to learn then you would expect. I figured it all out in about a good day's worth of driving.

My cousin used to own an automatic RX8, in comparison to the manual, the automatic straight out sucked. Yes, sucked. That's just my opinion though.

yeah the clutch on the rx8 is a easy one to adjust to, i was able to jump in and drive away compared to other cars i test drove where i felt like i was just learning to drive all over again

but yeah get the MT if you can, mazda only made the car in auto to appeal to larger audience

I really can't stand this **** anymore. The same F-ing questions getting asked over and over. Of course the same issues are relevant with an auto. Its they same freaking engine. Use the god damn search button people and stop bothering us with these stupid f-ing questions. Someone 16-18 years old should not be purchasing this car plain and simple!!!!

Now your begining to sound just like me................

The stock auto is slower than the stock m/t. Maintenance is less because you have no clutch and the manual tranny is subject to problelms. Buy what suits your driving style.
