if memory serves me right i believe it beeps at 8500, not 9500. it's not really that loud but you should be able to hear it without the radio on.

8500 = beeeeeep.
It's not very loud, if you have the radio on or the windows open you might not hear it.

Just get your passenger to watch your tach and make a beeping noise when it hits 8500

It's hard for the passenger to see the tach, unless she is crouched over for some reason.

When your redlining, then you can easily fail to notice the beep since you are concentrating so hard on the road. I've gone the maximum rpm's the engine could one time.

Just turn off the radio and redline the 8. Unless you have a hearing aid, you'll hear it.

Listen and feel the car. You don't need a beep.

They paid for a beep, so they should get a beep.

I remember reading another thread where there was no beep... what was the solution... *ponders*

If you're under warrantee, take it to the dealership and demand your beep.

Then they'll try to throw that you're over rev-ing the engine and void your warrenty=)

not that it should...but you know dealer...

How old are you? Sensitivity to high pitch frequencies is the first to go.

Actually, the guy I always speak with at my dealer gives the exact same advice as you see here on the boards... redline it regularly, constantly check the oil, etc... but mostly he stressed the redline it regularly bit, mostly because it's more fun that way. :-p So, I think it depends on your dealer.

Odd my AT 04 4 speed don't beep. It once did then that was it. Come to think of it a light came on and when I went to the dealer they said the airbag light had to be replaced along with the airbags. Odd???
