I bought my RX8 new back in 2004, now 3 years later, the tubes going to the oil coolant have completely rusted out causing the whole oil system to depressurize, the power steering control box has corroded, and now the starter is shot. It seems as though everything is dying all at once.

I have a completely stock engine, just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing similar problems. Maybe its a 2004 Model thing?

 

holy crap. did you leave it in a pool of salt water?

btw, your car is still under warranty. the 2004 models were given an increased 5 year warranty. take it to a dealership?

 

Really... I hadn't heard that. Where can I find that info? My dealership doesn't seem to be aware of that.

I wonder if it covers rust?

 

i would do a search for tsbs and recall.. take some time... read a bit..
