Anybody ever removed the clear plastic stickers on the rear quarter panels?
So I have a dent on my rear quarter panel near the wheel well. Now I worked as a paintless dent removal technician for 4 years so I know I can get this dent out but the plastic sticker that is covering it is going to be a problem. Has anyone ever removed these clear plastic stickers from their 8? Is it tough to do? Will there be discoloration where the sticker was?
Check out the picture and and suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks guys

I had some damage in that same area. The PDR guy wouldn't touch it, because it was a double panel with no access from behind. How do you plan on tackling that?
I gave it a try myself, as I figured I'd need bodywork anyway. I used a glue puller, and eventually the thin film pulled off. I simply ripped the film off them, and cleaned the area from the film outline.
Because you have side skirts, I would not worry about rocks in that area. Rock chips are far more likely on the front hood and fenders.

And they're VERY expensive to replace if you want them back on. And darn difficult to put back on without fingerprints or dirt getting on the back side.

Drill a hole in the inner quarter panel or wheel well depending on what you like to call it. Then put a rubber grommet in the hole when done. That's what most PDR guys do. They drill holes all over peoples cars.

I have the opposite problem. After an accident a few years ago, the original body shop never replaced the film.
There hasn't been excessive stone chips in that area.
However, the original shop did a crappy repair job (they didn't seal the inner and outer panel on the rear quarters) and the wells were starting to rust through. So insurance covered a second repair recently and the dealership is going to replace the film next week (they also forgot about it at first). I'm wondering if I should , given that it's been fine all those years without it.

i took mine off as well. on white, i could see little dark lines around the edges and they looked horrible. i haven't seen any scratches or paint chips there since i took them off about 10,000 miles ago. like others mentioned, there will be a little bit of stickiness but a goo-gone type product (or even wd-40) will help get the rest off.
