Just another day of "fd wAs BETTAH." Nothing to see here, folks.
It's funny how there was never an article that compared a V6 Camaro and a Corvette, because that's what comparing RX-8 to RX-7 is like.
Given the price point of the RX-8 and the emission standards, I think the Renny is not as bad as people make it sound. And it's not like the 7 is known for reliability, either.
The 8 would have to be in the 50k range when it was released for a turbo to even be an option.
As for killing the rotary thing, well there are already a lot of fundamental issues with rotaries as a whole for road vehicles and Mazda, as a small company, only has so many resources. Combine that with the "sports car only" approach, it's not surprising that the rotary is out of commissions as a whole.

Definitely a click bait to drive up Jalopnik's traffic. I think there is a counter article in Oppositelock that dispelled the ignorant posts. I check out BaT once a while and have noticed good specimen RX8s are fetching good money.
