Alot of weird S*** happens but has anyone experienced this :S

So im on my way to get some lunch today. Cruising and taking it easy. Red light up ahead so i slow down. Im in the first in line and on the far right lane. THese 2 guys on bikes (bicycles not sport bikes) come up behind. So im stopped i look to my right and one of them is LEANING on my damn car. I was like WTF ?!?! So i roll down my window and tell him to please get off ... i then honk cause i dont think he heard. Light turns green and he gives me the finger. Found some nice hand prints on the A pillar.

Is it just me or are people just totally disrespectful these days ?? To some it might not be a huge deal but i mean dont treat my car like an arm rest PLEASE. This was some old fart who had no respect for anything or anyone it seemed. Dont know if i over reacted but instinct sorta kicked in when i saw it and told him to get off.

ANyways sorry for the ranting.

Thoughts :P

haha...i was in the city this summer and had some cyclist put his helmet on my trunk like ride in between my spoiler and rear window (guess he was too hott, it was lke 110 that day) and just as he set it there the light turned green and i took off...still have his helmet chillen in my garage. ppl are very disrespectful, specialy in downtown pittsburgh

Rotary-RX8 01-11-2012 08:08 PM

yaa it was those stupid wannabe cyclists. Dammit lol.

Bamsterman 01-11-2012 08:09 PM

No, people are extremely disrespectful! I watched someone ding my door with theres. So I confront him about. "That was there already!" Yeah...and the other car just happens to be the same color as your car...

lta_ds_fs7 01-11-2012 08:23 PM

I would have calmly gotten out of my car, walked to their side, and shot their tires out...but hey...that's just me.

Rotary-RX8 01-11-2012 08:26 PM

^ i thought about getting out of the car. BUt didnt want to cause a huge scene :$ LOL

Yes it sucks, but hardly worth pulling out a gun and going to jail. May be worth an assault charge after you pimp slap him though?

lta_ds_fs7 01-11-2012 08:42 PM

A "tough biker" wouldn't want to bitch out and call the cops...lol

lta_ds_fs7 01-11-2012 08:44 PM

Plus, in my case, I could get away with alot...Two bikers harassing a woman...Busted...lol

Its not them you have to worry about calling the cops.
Its the other people in their cars.

BC.

syntheticdarkness 01-11-2012 09:05 PM

You should of done one of these lol. We've been through that a bunch of times, but a little pay back is always good haha.

haha i thought about that after but there were cars behind me !!! Thats so weird the guy did the exact same thing as that cyclist.

Arca_ex 01-11-2012 09:56 PM

Drop clutch so your car jolts forward, he falls down, then give him a nice face full of fireball exhaust yo.

More realistically, if I were in the far right lane I would have waited for an opening in traffic and gunned it while making a right hand turn, hoping the guy falls down. What an asshole.

warren(silver-roxy-8) 01-11-2012 09:56 PM

If you had no cars in front of you, it would have been quite funny if you took off while he was still leaning on your car....He would have it coming.

Rotary-RX8 01-11-2012 10:09 PM

^ Ye i took off but at that point he had already taken his hands off lol. Im glad my exhaust is loud and he got an ear full of it while i redlined the car.

warren(silver-roxy-8) 01-11-2012 10:17 PM

What an ass-wipe, that guy.

comebackqid 01-11-2012 10:25 PM

well that's just F*****G rude honestly I dont know what I wouldve done but I really wouldn't appreciate it at all, people are so rude these days, my S1 is BB and I wax it like once every 2 weeks fingerprints show up easy too, depending on what kinda day I was having he might've got dealt with I'm a nice guy but man some people are just asking for it, then he had the nerve to give you the finger as if you did something wrong WTF??? people are getting crazier by the year.

thanks for sharing the story with us

Rotary-RX8 01-11-2012 10:40 PM

no worries. I have to vent anyway. The more i thinnk about the situation the more i kind of want revenge. I wish i did something to make this old fart learn a lesson. What he did was pretty disrespectful not only to me but to my car. That son of a b*&^

9krpmrx8 01-11-2012 11:27 PM

This is the kind of situation I wish would happen to me. People have some nerve. Nothing a smack in the damn mouth won't cure though.

That's some sweet move.

I'm a cyclist commuter too, but these wannabe cyclists with full spandex gear are the pits, thinking they own the road.

I'm a cyclist as well. I don't commute much anymore due to distance, lack of a shower, and a somewhat changing schedule. I however would never lean on or even touch a car while on the road. While cyclist have the same rights to the road as a car technically, i'll always give a car the right away. If i'm in a group i make sure we run single file if there is a car back. I'll always pull off on a windy road or wave cars by when it's safe for them and me if they're stuck behind me. My biggest pet peeve is cyclists who don't obey traffic laws. Running red lights and stop signs, not staying to the right, and no signaling: these are the reasons why motorists dislike cyclists. Also when there is a large group and they ride 3 wide to take up an entire lane on a 2 lane road drives me nuts. If it's a curvy road it's even worse. While they technically have a right to the lane, it's rude to not let faster traffic pass. They'll let faster cyclist by without issue though. I was being blocked by a group on a curvy road last summer. Once i eventually had space to get by safely I did but it was shortly before an intersection. I waited at the stop sign until they caught up and waved one of them up to my window. I politely told him that his group was being rude and what they were doing is what gives cyclists a bad name and makes motorists aggressive towards them. I let him know that I was i cyclist and had already ridden 30 miles earlier in the morning and not some dome meat head in a car trying to bully them.

There are a lot of respectful cyclists out there, but as gas goes up and the sport/hobby grows, we get more people that think they own the road and don't have to pay attention to traffic and traffic laws. :dunno:

RIWWP 01-12-2012 09:21 AM

Fuz,

They just move their level of attention, respect, and skill from their commuter SUV to a bicycle...

yea, I always dont get why people dress like that on the road?
I mean I have my race suit for motorcycle but I only wear it on a race track. I imagine looking like an idiot in it on the road. same goes cyclist. cant they just wear normal clothes?
I mean you are just commuting on the street not racing.
