After much debate, finally proud owner of an RX8
6 months ago I almost purchased a brand new R3 for 26500 but I decided to dorm for the semester and ended up with a 240sx.
Now back at home, I started looking around for used 350s, s2000s, and Rx8s. Best S2k deal 12900 with 40k miles but scratches and dents all over the place; best 07 350z 15500 with 41k miles mint, but I ended up buying my velocity red RX8 GT for 14,500 with 6,775 miles. Good deal or nah?

Sweet find and Welcome!!!!
+1 to what York said, unless your a guy and named your car larissa. That would really make poor york look really foolish.
I would . It would be awesome.

Haha sorry, but yea i am a guy and i named the rx8 larissa and the 240s Sasha.
@gitfiddle love the color of your 8. Had i not found a good deal on a used car, i was going to get the 370 in black cherry.
So i spent the whole night reading the stickies and im gonna clay bar, wax, and change the oil this weekend. After much thought, i decided on 5w40 royalpurple and premixing idemitsu on next fill up. Good or nah? (btw i dont plan on installing SOHN just yet, until im convinced its necessary)
Anyone suggestions are welcome, thank you.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
I don't like the shape and the look of the new Nissan Z. I like the old Z better, the look is simple than the new Z.
Yeah, read those stickies and learn from it. If you see my comments, ignore those, they are not important
Again, welcome to the club and happy modding.

Good choice on the oil and premix. One thing that is nice about the Sohn adapter, is that you won't be clogging up the oil lines that go to the injectors. I don't know what others' look like, but before I put the adapter on, the lines had air bubbles, dirt, all kinds of stuff in there. With the adapter on, it's smooth sailing the whole way. No bubbles, no dirt. Just nice clean burnable two stroke.

sohn + small amount of premix in gas = happy rx8
also keep in mind that the RX8 cats seem like they like to fail, i would get a bhr midpipe. You don't have to get a catback if you want stock sound but that midpipe will eliminate any cat problems (cat problems can eat your motor).
Power steering likes to go out, the connectors are jack. you can solder the wire together or make your own connectors, i did the later.

You truly ran into a bargain deal for an immaculate piece of gem! And I'm sure you'll take care of this car just as well as the previous owner. Many congrats!
