TX AF short shifter questions

So found the instructions online and installed it
was not that hard but some things were not stated in the DIY.
Either way, I got it in,
Questions:
1. Is it suppose to "shake"?
esp when in neutral shakes but does not make any noise
Does every one elses SS do the same or did I do something wrong?

2. At first, going thru the gears, was hard to figure out if i was in 3rd or in 5th,
Guess the distance between gears is closer than oem? am getting used to it
Now I understand why some ppl do not like it, takes a while to get used to it

the shaking is normal, the stock shifter had a rubber buffer that canceled some of that out. You also probably never stared at your stock shift in idle, it did it a bit too

it will take a few drive cycles to get the feel of the gear placement now, after a week or so it will be natural. You've basically gone from one way of shifting to a totally new way.

Mine's been in a few days...I noticed that shake too, but I'm sure it's just because I'm looking for little details now.

I love the way it feels, compared to stock. It's already almost intuitive. The spacing seems much closer left-to-right, to a lesser extent front to back. I love the 2nd-to3rd shift the most, with 4th-to-5th a close runner-up.

Yep, it's just that you never really noticed your stick shake until you installed the AFE SS and are therefore looking/feeling there more.

There is a bit higher gearbox-transmitted noise tho', but you quickly get used to it and it adds to the feedback I think.
