AEM cold air intake filter

I need suggestions on how I can clean the air filter on my AEM intake. It is behind the front bumper, so I am not sure how I am supposed to get it out to clean it.

Take the filter off of the tubing and clean it? It's pretty easy...

You can take off the top plastic cover and reach in to detach the cone. You just have to do those little fasteners (about 7 of them I think) on the cover, and have long arms to reach the filter with a screw driver. That's how I do mine anyway.

I havent tried yet to see if there is enough room. But I thought about removing the plastic part underneath. Ill have to try both ways.

How often should you clean the filter?
