Advice for newbie

Just wanted to introduce myself to RX-8 site folks. I'm a current 2008 MX5 owner, but I am very interested in upgrading to the RX8 R3. Ive just test driven it, and I have to say I'm very impressed. Any advice/insights would be greatly appreciated.

I will need regular oil top ups and a good redlining every drive to put a grin on your face. Apart from that it's just like any other car.

Well, an 8 offers even more driving fun than the MX5, plus you'll have a place to put groceries and even two extra people. If you can afford it, go for it, why not.

The only advantages the MX5 has is better gas mileage and a rag top (for those into rag tops).

More work to take care of, a bit more expensive (both long term and up front), and 100% worth it.
