(pitch fork in hand and torch lit)~ don't even get everyone rowled up about oil....04's are fine b sure it drives good check VIN on Carfax and get a compression test done....other than that 04's are good IDK y ppl think that 04's are so bad as long as all the recalls are done and new flash is in it is exacltly the same as 05-08.....

It still red lines, but it is significantly slower on the way up. I also have some problems meshing second and fourth gear if I go over 7k. Also the rear struts are failing total miles on car is 59,5K. It has an airbag light on the dash that has been on 8K miles.

Power problem: start with the plugs if you haven't replaced them. If they were replaced at 30K, then they are just reaching time for replacement. (Also replace the air filter. A clogged air filter can cause stumbling and hard starting)

Trans problem: The tranny and Differential oil should also be done every 30K miles or it does that. Try changing the fluid.

Those are shocks not struts, not that it makes much of a difference. Well, they lasted a lot longer than mine did. My stock shocks started leaking at 18K miles so replaced them with konis. The koni fronts also started leaking after about 40K miles, were replaced under the lifetime warranty by Koni.

Airbag light could be a few things, and you are best off taking that to the dealer to see what the problem is.

Best of luck.
