40th Anniversary Edition (US Version) RX8 On Display At Monterey Historics Today
Spied out at Laguna Seca at the Monterey Historic races today…a 40th anniversary edition (US version) RX8 “replica” displayed with the metro. gray/ cosmo. red color combo.
It turns out the staff at the Mazda tent didn’t even know the ’08 “replica” would be part of the Mazda rotary racing display...until it showed up.
It is a “replica” of the 40th edition for display (read marketing) purposes…an earlier RX8 redone with the correct paint, interior, etc., of the 40th edition…as the ‘08’s have not yet started production.
Enjoy!

stop flooding ur engines
wow im usually pretty biased TOWARDS mazdas car but thats worse than regular rx8s. the interior is nasty and doesnt go with that color of exterior, whatever damn name they decide to call GRAY for the 11th time.
and the wheels r hideous, looks like they stole em off the latest hyundai tiburon, and no thats not a good thing.
the wheels dont go with the smooth lines of the rx8. jagged edge wheels on smooth lined cars make no sense. and what kind of potenzas are they? they dont seem to be the re040s?
imo....fail.

Having gotten to see the 40th edition "replica" up close and personal it wasn't something that made a "gotta have it" impression upon me...but I'm sure there will be plenty out there that will part with their $$,$$$ for it.

The cream color exterior with an optional cream color inside... mmm... not to mention some nice interior work. The meters inside the car seem to have changed from brilliant white to a sort of blue, if you keep clicking the interior tab
Even if the website design makes a port of the japanese version, their website makes me more excited about the rx8 than any amercian auto website.
