3rd engine

I am getting my 3rd engine in my 04. First one was replaced at 7300 due to an oil leak. Now at 89950 another one for stalling when coasting at 70mph. Failed compression test last week and just received call the engine has arrived. I am curious how long this new one is going to be warranted for. That is my first question tomorrow when I drop her off. All my friends tell me I need to sell when I get the new engine and I told them hell no as I love my car.

Got my second engine at 22k, and third at 96k. Welcome to the club!! Now premix and get a SOHN adapter and don't forget a good synthetic and frequent oil changes.

Looks like I'll be on my second engine. My mom flooded my car yesterday, got it to Mazda and failed compression. Had the stalling issue too cruising at 60-75mph. Still love my car, but I'm really hating this ****. 3rd time its been flooded, and the fact that the engine is near dead at this point makes me really wonder why I got this over an FD :/

It is frustrating man but just premix the new motor, use a good xW-30, and change your oil on time, each time, and you will be fine. This car just requires a lot of attention and is not for the lazy.

Maybe I got lucky, but my 2004 has 62,000 worry-free miles. The car runs amazing. Now, if I can just get Mazda to fix the ABS module that went out, leaving me without ABS brakes, that would be great!

You know...it's always something with this car, but when it's right, the RX8 is an amazing machine.

Lol ive had my fair share of new engines... first one replaced at 48,000 miles, failed compression, recieved second one for 100 miles and it leaked oil, recieved 3rd one and it leaked oil as well, finally recieved 4th one and it was from the new factory so I was good so far i have 13,000 miles on it and is just as fast as the day I got it...
