35k Miles Maintenance

hey guys , i've been searching the forums for like 3 days now, and nothing to help me out, well i shouldn't say nothing because there are some things that have helped a little but not really.

well. i bought the car at 27k miles on it , i got the oil changed at 30k and then at 33k.

now im at the point where im like "wait a minute"

im past 30k theres alot of things i have to do now.

so i know i need new spark plugs, wires and coils.

possibly a new oil change which i will do anyway.

i bought my current shinka at an Acura dealership mainly because i couldnt find another one anywherelse for the llowwwww price they were selling it for.

(but the guy who had it before is a dick, i know because the glove compartment was all scratched and thena scratch on the side but for the low price i got it for i sucked it up).

and now basically i just need to know

EXACTLY what i have to do. because i hate driving around KNOWING i have to do something and NOT doing it.

it pisses me off.

Help me Please :]

Did you get the owner's manual with it? There are charts showing the necessary maintenance. Follow Schedule II. But keep changing oil at 3K like you've been doing.

If you didn't get a manual, sign up in the owner's section at mazdausa.com. You can then download a pdf version.

did you do the 30k mile maintenance? just add fluid changes (transmission & differential) + regular maintenance to your plan for coils, plugs and wires.

I skipped my 30K service, bit me in the *** at around 59K miles. My plugs went bad and I needed new wires which I neglected which lead to a clogged cat ( which was luckily replaced under warranty). If you skip it just keep an eye on everything.

Plugs arn't needed until 60k as far as I know, at least according to my dealer and the manual. You can download the manual at Mazda.com

Correction looks like the manual does say plugs at 37,500, odd the service guys said 60k

I've got the same question. I got my coils and spark plugs replaced about 2000 miles ago, I'm around 32.5k now, are there any belts I need to do or anything more technical? I plan on doing the fluid flushes when I get some time this month.

Never do the 30,000 mile service. Do each thing separately, like oil change, ignition coils, spark plugs, etc. If you need to, ask swoope and nygps exactly what you need to get done.

And don't assume the scratches on the glove box means the guy is a dick. It may actually mean the guy had a gf sitting in there like a bitch. girls like to kick the damn glove box with their heeled shoes. Also, their ******* purses tend to scratch the glove box. Believe me, I know. And it pissed me off, too.

1.Coolant every 24m/30k
2. Rear diff 30k
3. Transmission 30k
4. Inspect air filter, replace if needed (dont forget the cabin air filter behind the glove box
5. Inspect belts replace as needed (checked for free at most places)
6. Oil change only if your due
7. I would do plugs, coils and wires if you dont have the history so you have a starting point.
8. Have the brakes checked. (free at most places)
9. tire rotation (I try to do it every oil change because its free where i get my tires)
