right now, i'm seeing much more of a difference between my highway/street mileage than i used to. before, no matter what ratio of highway to street, i used to get 270-280 miles. Now it's about 220 for street and 280 for highway. go figure.

How long your engine idle's makes a huge diff in thempg. I get around 260ish with highway, but this last tank I got 120, (ouch) because I spent more time letting it warm up than actual driving.

I'd also like to mention that my ~300 mile tank average (when the light comes on) is all accomplished using 85 octane gas

So far on schedule to get 150 out of this one; been showing my gf what happens when you let it go above 5K
And I'm still running in!
192 model - it's NICE.

It's not even so much that I let it warm up. It's more that I live 1 mile from work, so I spend about 1 min letting it idle, 1 min driving it to work, and then about 3 mins of idle at work before I get out. I do this just to make sure it's a tiny bit warmed up before shutting off the engine to avoid a flood. It's also pretty much the only driving I do. If I'm going anywhere other than to work, I prob will be driving a rental car (work pays for it).

^^ yea what he said, cold or not, if your going to be driving it for that amount of time, letting it warm up by gentle driving is prob the best way to go.
My rule of thumb is once the RPMs are below 1.5k at idle then I'm good to go.

How many miles do you have on the car?
My mileage sucked (12-14 mpg mixed) until I hit about 15k miles. Went up to about 17-18 mpg mixed after that. That's still not great considering what I thought I would be getting when I bought the car: 18 city/24 highway.
