Went From Houston to Orlando and back.
1 V1 is great and except for one person with Lazer jammer who pulled on to I 10 behind me and drove my V1 nuts, it worked as adv.
2 Car is very comfy on long trips. I did 700 mi in 10 Hrs and that was with an hour long accident back up at Mobile Tunnel.
3 Ave gas milage 16 to 18 around town B4 trip.
Ave gas milage 20 to 22 on road trip. Would have been better if car would have gone at a slower speed. It passed everything on the road except gas stations.
4 Kids love this car. Many times they were pointing it out to their parents.
5 I hope Mazda puts in a taller 6th gear for fuel economy but 6th does excellerate well when you are already at 4500 rpm.
6 I saw four other RX8's ( Two Yellow ).
7 RX8 handels well in the rain. Went through a couple of frog choakers but i always slow down to 55 or less because I have seen to many new cars with good tires all busted up due to hydroplaining.
8 Don't hesitate-Get an 8. :D
9 AC worked fine after AC Amp replacement B4 trip.

 

Nice report, thanks. Ever notice that the laser warning of the V1 goes off if you adjust the side mirrors? Mine does it every time, scared me half tp death until I figured it out!

 

No but I will try it out to see if my V1 does the same.
