22.43 mpg !!

in my '05 Shinka. Round trip from Northern IN to Nashville TN. Avg. speed 70 mph. That includes stopping for gas and answering questions about the car :^) How much more fun can you have?

Disclaimer: I was just along for the ride, my husband wouldn't let me behind the wheel! That's OK, he hardly ever gets to drive it.

That's great!! I recently got 23+, 20+ and 22+ on a trip up the coast to
San Francisco for the US Open. The 20+ tank was HWY 1 from San Luis Obispo
to Pacifica. I have been on many trips in the 3 years I have owned the 8 and have
only been getting this type of mileage recently? Maybe the PreMixing?

I managed 26.xx once on a trip it way no traffic lights about 50 mph all the way in 6th gear. Usually I get 12-19 depending on the number of lights, traffic and acceleration.

Seems to me like once they "settle in" on the highway, the ECU really gets to work on the economy. Like wright and 9krpm, I usually see far less than that on my short daily commute...my usual total at the end of a tank is around 17mpg. But I have gotten 20 on a long highway trip before.

going from montreal to toronto staying at a steady speed in 6th and not touching the throttle at all in cruise control I got 25mpg. I got something like 350miles on one tank.
stayed 115km/h (75mph?) and got 540km out of the tank out of 52-53 litres, did it awhile back but I don't remember exactly, but I easily get 20+mpg on my car lol

yeah you can get 300+ mile tanks (ive had up to 27mpg) all day if you do it in one trip, but multiple starts on one tank and the mpgs drop to 20-24... sunroof open also hinders mpg

248.8 miles on the current tank, 3/4ths burned. On pace for yet another 320-330 mile tank at the 13.1 gal light mark

A better maintained car gets good mileage, and that's a fact.
