Every now and then when i shut my car off from driving in pretty hot conditions (100F), and step out of my car i would normally hear some sort of air blowing front my front bumper/oil coolers. Anybody know what it is? (if it's something obvious like the oil coolers im going to slap myself)

 

Its your radiator fans. They stay on for a little but after you shut the car off to continue to cool.

 

i've been turning my car on and off to shut the fans off. will this damage my radiator in anyway?

 

I wouldn't think so, but you can stop doing that now

 

I do that by mistake because every time I turn off my car I turn it halfway on so it squirts a little oil in the engine for my next start up.

If your fans are trying to stay on though it is in your best interest to let them stay on when your car turns off I think.

 

mine did the same thing, i would joke with my friends sometimes and say its just my turbos.... no biggie hahah
