2009 ignition coils

I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything here. So sorry if this has been talked about before. I know that the coils in the first gen RX-8 are junk and don't last more then 30K miles. But do any of you know if the 09-11 RX-8's have the same coils in them or the same problems? I've got 17K on my car now and was going to get plugs and wires soon. Didn't know if I need coils as well.

Original 04 came with garbage coils.

but Mazda has made 2 revision to it and now the coils are "fairly" reliable. Im talking about 20K+ miles is very possible.

Oh yes its all the same kind of coils.

The series II motors have a new coil mounting bracket, which is thought by some to help keep the coils cooler.
