2005 rx8 stalling and running sluggish

I have a 2005 rx8 with 54k on it and its been running sluggish and then last night it stalled a couple of times. It seems like its not getting fuel has any one else had this problem and can you help me. It is also an automatic trans and it seems sluggish only around 55mph and up. It more feel like it was dragging. Checked brakes, emergency brake. I have only had this car for two months. Could it be the fuel filter?

Please help

Fuel pump?

If when it stalls you give gas and the needle keeps going downwards until it stalls, than I would think it was the fuel pump.

It happened to me 3 weeks ago, sluggishness as well for a few weeks until it failed.

Mine was at the point where I couldn't drive for more than 5-10mins until it stalled.

It could be a fuel pump issue. Have you experienced a loss in power recently? It sounds a little like what others have experienced when their engine lost compression, causing the subsequent failure of the engine completely.

Yes alot of loss in hp, its seem like a fuel something I am not very familier with these cars but I might try it. Also did your car feel like it was dragging almost like the e brake was on.

No

Check the CAT

have to take off and look inside.

Only way to check unless it is glowing red.
