I used the first number and talked to someone who told me it was mazdaspeed. I didn't think mazdaspeed rx8 existed in ANY country before talking to that guy.

outside of being blindingly over priced what is that even supposed to mean?

 

sometimes I wish i could see the person's face who actually thought it was a good choice of mods for this car. then i could mentally strangle them.

 

I think the bigger joke here is that the dealer wants $16,000 for a 2004 RX-8 with 60,000 miles on it. Modifed like it is it might be worth half that, literally.

 

The only thing MS about it are the sides. The seats look beat as well.

 

So because no Mazdaspeed's were sold in USA they don't exist? Hello? :P

I'm also interested to know if they were sold in Japan or not.

IIRC there were MS RX8 A-specs sold in Japan. There was some new bracing, areo kit, some tuning and that is it. There is a vid of Tarzan or some other famous Japanese racer driving one around a wet corner with the dsc on and off.

one of the power seat controls is busted off. i was about to jump on this 'limited edition' until i saw that.

 

Call mazda and give them the vin #. They should be able to tell you exactly how the car left the factory and what items were on the vehicle when sold. I called them a bunch of times when I was looking for my 8 and turned out to be very helpful.

I just bought one from my friend and his came from mazda itself just like it is and it has everything it should to be a mazdaspeed edition. Go check my album and see if it is or not and let me know. Maybe it was a special order?

 

one pic? it has the Mazdaspeed wing. there are a whole bunch of other mazdaspeed parts available, including the front and rear bumpers, and side skirts...
