...is a car I saw the other day for sale. However, there was rust under the spoiler, and spark plugs were changed due to flooding.

Navigation system is included, but I found it obsolete.

Any comments for buying a car like this?

I have an 04' with 105,000 miles. All depends how it was taken care of. Rust is not an issue in Texas.

My car was a late Nov. 05 build so it had the upgraded starter and battery from the factory.

I like the RX-8. It handles great, rotary smoothness, pretty quick, it's practical and they are relatively rare. On the other hand, mediocre MPG, it's quick not fast, high-maintenance costs and learning curve if you want to treat the car right.

The 8 has horrible resale value. You should bargain hard and keep an eye out for the one you want. Check out cars.com and Craigslist for researching prices.

navigation shouldn't be obsolete by that much... i live in ottawa and mazda really failed with the whole rust thing

check the rear quarters for rust...

there should be no rust around the spoiler... rust occurs around the third brake light... ask to find out whats been replaced... power steering is bound to go... either do to a wire or whole unit mine lost both lol

check maintenance... has the engine been replaced? starter?

all in all if you live in canada i wouldn't buy it

i've given up on this car

if you plan on driving it everyday its not worth the hasle
