15000 miles and counting.
its been a long time sense ive posted here but thought id give an update.
was the first to take delivery on a rx8 here in alaska back in late august and after 15000 miles im still very happy with the car.i have drove the thing about every day and id say about 9000 of those miles have been in the snow.i installed dunlop winter m3s on the stock wheels and this thing goes better than any fwd cars with studs i have owned.
i have had no problems with the car,has never flooded and has started at -30f temps after sitting allnight.the only thing i have had to go to service for is the oilpan update and reflash per a bulletin and my free maintince every 5000 miles.
the only issue in the extream cold has been condensation build on the dipstick and long time to warm up.anyway very happy still with the car and looking forward to spring for dry roads and possible stage 1 kit for summer driving.
bottom line, mazda has been great with the free gifts and the 500.00 and free service for the power mistake and when i approch 50000 miles i will trade in for another.

I think I'm driving too much myself, 2 months, 4100 miles. I only drive it occasionally on the weekdays, and mainly on the weekends. It's just that much fun to drive this car... ack!

akrx8,
Hi fellow Alaskan! I got my last October and only have 1300 miles on it. Couldn't drive it in the snow and I know it snow alot more up there than here. Where did you get your winter tires? Is there a shop in Anchorage I can get some and also the price?
Thanks
