14.5 @97mph 1/4mile
Hey guys,
didn't feel like updating my old thread going to the track but I thought I did pretty good! Since I had to shift at the end I just powershifted 4th. I find these cars lose alot of time just because of that 3/4 shift right at the end. I launched at about 6k, with a bit of wheel hop but the car didn't bog and hooked up right after. Managed to squeak 4th right at the end haha

2.215 60ft
6.174 330ft
8.835 594ft
9.428 1/8 mile
75.9 mph
12.215 1000ft
14.09 1254ft
14.55 1/4 mile
96.73 mph
Pretty sure I can do better, but there was an event going on with drag cars which made it impossible to launch after. The track was so grippy cars were struggling to spin their tires even a little bit. I dropped the clutch at 7k and the tires wouldn't spin... just burnt a bit of my clutch
If I got my 60ft down to 2.0 I'm pretty sure it would be around 14.1-2!
Oh and my motor mounts are completely dead, just ordered a new pair and I'm probably going within 2 weeks right before winter.
Mods: bhr flywheel, decat (hole through cat, but I think I actually lost power) BHR ignition
The car is an 04 with the original engine with 90k km
I went up against a manual g37, beat me by 1 car length at 160km/h, not as fast as I thought. Raced a 2009 WRX, but we both messed up our launch and it became a drivers race which I had won. Thought they were much faster than us rotards :p

Nice run, most of the RX-8 guys I have seen run over the years are high 14 second runs even with all the bolt ons.. A 09' WRX should have walked you. But drag racing is more driver than anything.

Great work! I could only muster up a 14.7 with similar bolt on's.
Local track is actually a slight uphill incline though and 3,280 feet above sea level. (i'll take any excuse I can get)
