2007 RX-8 = More colors added and deleted + some other minor bullshit that doesn't mean anything.

A Kabura as you mention was tried, it's called a Toyota MR2 and it sucked.

A N/A 2.0 as a base trim and a 2.3 or 2.5 Turbo for a high end would work.
The WRX wagon and Legacy wagon would be along the lines of the MS6 wagon. I love the idea of fast wagons, but even the Legacy and WRX wagon don't sell very well, which leads me to believe the MS6 wagon would be a total flop.

What exactly about the MR2 sucked? The MKII MR2 is probably one of the best cars of the last couple decades. It didn't sell very well, but it most certainly didn't suck. The market just wsn't ready for a car like the MR2 and it was a little overpriced. I think the Kabura would fill a void in the market and could be a big success for Mazda if they do it right.

Considering the Kabura is a coupe I don't know why you would assume that.

Because it was a pos, and brought back in the hopes it would sell but it didnt. It was overpriced and ugly. Not only that but a convertible. Thats the vehicle I assume he means (because the first two gens were good) and thats I asked why he was comparing the Kabura to the MR2. Maybe I should have worded it better.

Impressive lineup! I look forward to seeing the new Dodge Red Rx8.

They added the Ferrari engine in the 07 model, thats the only way they could bring the HP up. The 08 models are actually going to be called "RX-8 Enzo".

Thats what happens when you leave it to memory and don't check, the MR2 was a vert and not a coupe as I remembered (I thought it was like a del sol, T top kind of thing). I just remember them being very underpowered and a bit pricey for what they offered.

A small RWD coupe should sell very well but I do think you need NA and turbo version.

If Mazda brings out a 3 seat Kabura with 170hp NA 4banger as the only option they would just be better to have a MX5 coupe (the PFHT fits that role to a degree but would be more expensive),

You know we'll see a coupe version of the Soltice and Sky before long and they would become direct competitors including the 260hp GXP and Redline versions.

Now a 2.0 NA 2+2 with a GT trim sporting a 2.0 or 2.3 turbo would be great. I still think it would canibalize RX8 sales. A base 8 invoices for only 25k.

First two gens offered sunroof, or t-top. The 3rd gen was strictly vert.

Well my friend purchased a car that should be considered for a return into the 2seater sportcar coupe catergory. Its a porshe carrera-ish(i dont know the model but its not a 9xx series. Looks lke the carrera but from 1885). that had its engine replaced with a 1970 VW beatle's. It sounded fun, drove fine, was was 500bucks. I want to buy one.
