How much did the dealer charge for everything?

Why are you out of warranty?

The four year / 50k mi B2B warranty is 4 years from in-service date, and mine was June of '04.. so June of '08. I'm naturally still in the 100k "Engine Core" warranty, but that doesn't cover electrical. After my bit of of arguing, I ended up payin $45 labor, $10 fuse, $6 shop supplies.

the 4 year 50k mile powertrain warranty was extended to a 5 yr 60k mike warranty on the 04 and 05. so you should not be out of warranty..

Alas electrical is not part of powertrain, and fuses wouldn't be part of any warranty, even B2B, he said..

OK, now I'm pissed. I don't know how I didn't see it before .. but I went out there this morning and theres a huge gash in my paint on the drivers side right below the suicide door... that I know wasn't there when it got towed. I know because I took pictures as it went on the tow truck..

So it was either the tow truck or the dealership, but I highly doubt either will take responsibility..

if I were you I would start off blaming one of them. If you tell one of them it was either you or...then they will just blame each other and nothing will get done

That sucks, you're not the first to have your car damaged.

But, this is also perfect.... You have pictures!

Start with the dealership. Maybe they noticed the damage when the car came in, or they'll fess-up when you show then the pictures. Either way, they've gotta be easier to deal with first than a towing company.

If neither step up. Go to your insurance - show them the pictures. They'll battle it out.

You may have hit something on the road or the wind blew a stick into the side of the car.

Post some pictures please.

Believe it or not... alot of thin=mes these things are a coincedence and not the dealers fault.

I guess saying it was the dealership OR the tow truck was a bit kind.. it was definitely the dealership. I watched him unload the car myself.

I was gonna congratulate you on finding the fix...but now this. I don't think you will be able to prove anything unfortunately. Get an estimate on the damage before going to the insurance company. You know if you make a claim, they will screw you over and make it all back (and more) by increasing your premium. Maybe you should just pay it out of your own pocket.

Yeah, you got lucky there. It's only on the sideskirt. Getting that done shouldn't cost too much and it wouldn't be all that important to get the highest quality and most expensive repair. Also, can you buy a used side skirt from people in the For Sale forum?

Yea it really looks like the hoist to me.. I sent them a strongly worded email with the pictures all linked in. Here's to hoping they admit their mistake.

Can he show that it had to be the hoist and not something else? Maybe you do have a chance to show beyond doubt. Good luck.
