old news... that info was out a month or 2 ago. They havnt had winning blue for a few years... 2004 might have been the only year even... but it might have been out for 2005 as well. It was replaced with phantom blue which was a teal-ish blue then that was replaced with stormy mica. stormy mica is probably my favorite color, but cant go wrong with black. I have black and love it, though if I could have had a stormy blue, I probably would have chosen that...

could've been worse. Mazda could've added plastic wings, more plastic fins and drill holes on the hood or replace the interior with tupperware material to make pretend that you are in a race car......

Mazda is pathetic, I can understand not giving the 40th anniversary FI, but at least roll out that MAZDASPEED that everyone has been paying thousands of dollars to catch up to. I think Mazda is absolutely stupid. If they came out with a MAZDASPEED edition, say 500-1000 produced, they would sell out and they already have the parts made. I'm just tired of these "editions" that offer a new paint job and better struts. I just hope Mazda dosen't follow Honda and Toyota down the who cares about fun cars road.

the red is a much nicer red however. reminisicent of audi or bmw red. not this ultra high intensity ricer red. which, im kinda now saying ew to. anyone in the DC area with a cloth interior rx8? i wanna check it out.

but seriously, mazda has mazdaspeed turbo edition of all its cars. why not the 8? obviously the 8 can be turbo'd and it runs quite well. so whats the problem? mazdaspeed 8s would be hot. of course, now that i think about it. i dont want mazda releasing one, because i like to own the top stuff of a company. and then i'd have to trady my 8 in for ms8, and im broke as it is..

 

The gas mileage would become so poor that they would be hit with a gas guzzlers tax.

dont buy black. i have black and it sucks. if i could go back in time id get that really dope new white they have...omg nice.

black is drity immediately, always, and shows every scratch nick bump dent bug everything!


besides the only color that DOESNT have a nice pearl in it is the black. its so flat and boring. they make mazda3's with better blacks and it costs half as muich....brillant black sucks, black mica is nicer but theyn dont offer the rx8 in it. dont ask me why i think its dum to have a 15k car have better paint than the 25k car.....wtf............

Well, I'm sure the suspension will be just what everyone's always wanted. Though for the horrible roads I have to drive on I can't complain about the softness. If they were better, I'd be happy to have a version with less body roll and a firmer ride. The markup on the anniversary edition will probably be as much as doing it yourself though. Then again, maybe not. I had to buy used as it was.

This is the Jay Laub custom RX-8. A very sweet looking car with a supercharger and more. I think Mazda should just make this the Mazdaspeed version of the RX-8!

I don't' understand why they would release a 40th anniversary for a car that hasn't even been around for half a decade.....

 

How about a more powerful engine with steering racks that don't fail, coils that don't burn up, AC that blows cold, brakes that don't squeal, plugs that don't fail, and heat insulation that allows you to keep change in the console that won't burn your skin after a trip to the store.
