You are getting the mpg you should have gotten originally.
9-12 mpg is **** poor. Why didnt you take it back and tell them to either fix it or replace it with another car. 9-12 mpg sounds like a defect from the factory
Do you want to argue my case to the dealer. I get 12mpg. I tell them evey time I go in for service. 14,000 miles later, still getting 12mpg. The dealers KNOW NOTHING AND DO NOTHING.

Why have alcantara if you're just gonna put seat covers? Don't get the luxed up version just to hide it from being hurt. Should have just gotten cloth seats if you were going to do that.

Steering wheel cover...

I didn't like it much either after it was installed.
My question is: why do you need ANY? The steering wheel is fine the way it is IMO.

Also, the seat covers... as it was said, it really kills the look, even though it protects the alcantara seats - but then what's the point in having the nice seats in the first place?

Pretty car - enjoy. Glad to hear that your fuel economy problem is now gone

Dude if the dealers know nothing you have to take it up with the corp head quarters. You are in the right.
All you have to tell them is my car should be getting atleast 18mpg and I am getting 9-12. Either it gets fixed or I get my car replaced by another one.
If not threaten them with the authorities.
I am not 100% sure on the lemon laws, I dont think your car qualifies as a lemon but do some research to see what else you can do.
Its not going be easy, but it beats getting jerked around by these fools.

Hope that helps..

Ash

The steering wheel cover has been retired and the seats are protected with OEM
Seat Covers. I used them on my 04 and after 2 years the seats still look new.
I wish Mazda would offer tan seat covers but they don't so I can live with black.

Thanks for your comments

Just one more thing: You need to make that dealer badge disappear.

You don't get it. The increased MPG was an unexpected plus he didn't say he bought the car for increased mileage. Mugatu must search text better.

I find this really interesting being one of those 11 to 12 mpg people and having been told by Mazda that this was normal mileage, this gives me good ammo to continue the fight. Thanks.

Several reasons.
1. It's a lease. I don't want to give the dealer any reason to tack on excess fee's when I turn it back in.
I agree. The black seat covers don't enhance the looks of my car. I can live with it.
2. I grew up in a low income family and I have the "bad habit" of keeping things nice.
Nothing was given to me very often so the matériel things I have in my life are appreciated.
When/if you get an 8 you can mod it the way you want.
Thanks for your input.

Yup. It's a smudge or reflection.

Why are the front and rear seats different colors?

Also, why did that guy ask you for pics when you can see all the pics you want at Mazda.com?? Seems a little silly.
