Hey guys i have just bought a used mazda RX-8 and i want to put some mods on it because i am going to do the gumball 3000, so there for i need some help with power! So i am thinking of a turbo but i dont know witch one is the most effective for the price. i dont know if there is a twin turbo that i can get or what but price is not a factor. But because i am going to have to go up against ferraris and such i want to have about 400 Hp to help me kill them and make them look like sh** and a waste of money so can you guys help me out!

 

Just push "left/left/up/down/reset".

That will get you to the secret "triple-turbo" screen.

You are going to need a 3 rotor 20b engine for that kind of power.

 

 

All you need is one of these and those lint traps you put on the end of your laundry tub hose:

You could also go for the SSR/SFR turbo which will get you something like 330whp.

There really isn't much you can do to the stock engine, at the most turboed 8's get 280hp

you're not going to beat a ferrari in an 8 unless the driver sucks ***

Howdy...if money is not a concern, you should check out the threads by rx8pr. He's got a couple of 8's down in puerto rice that are running several different setups. Turbo's, 3 rotor and others. There is a vid somewhere here that shows one of his 8's running a 8 sec 1/4 over 200 mph. I had thought he mentioned that he would start selling kits for rx8's and they were starting at 15K for a complete kit.

Ya, dont mind them. The people here at rx8club are mostly mad because of our slow cars so they take it out on noobs.
