I never got around to posting some pics of BOTD, so here are a few:

The RiverStone grill lot - the lunch stop between the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon. The whole loop was 175 miles:
Damned tractor:
Lined up to take on the Dragon (and State Troopers and County Mounties):
Red, White and Blue. The cross is a helipad to evacuate Dragon casualties. Ambulances ferry the injured to this pad or one on the other end by the dam:
Dammed river:
Another great day on the Skyway:

Helicopter landing pad for errant Dragon riders. There's another at the other end by Fontana Dam. It does add some perspective to the drive:
