You will be surprised at the some the deals that RevSpec has at times. For the price of Enkeis, you can be rolling on JDM forged goodies :)

If this swap was easier, I would sell my FD to make this happen. Kids fit in the back of the RX8...legally
Looking good!! Varrstoen ES1 Get my vote. Love huge lipped rims! |

subscribed, loving your work. I am slowly gathering all i need to do this conversion. I am keen, like you to get all the stock electrics to work in the car and just use an apexi ecu to run the engine.
I wonder if you (or anyone else) could answer a couple of questions for me Are you using an RX7 (FD REW) Clutch or RX8? I thought the RX8 used a pull type clutch but the pic of your clutch looks like an rx7 clutch I have seen in your thread that some have said to use the RX8 front cover for the sensors, does the RX8 front cover fit and are any mods required? Can the sensors be added to the FD front cover, ie by adding the RX8 crank angle pick up in addition to the stock RX7 ones? many thanks and keep up the good work? |

The rx8 cover does require machining for the front counterweight and possibly some welding depending on your needs for a omp. Yes sensors can be added to any cover to make tach gauge work properly. |

1.)Yes the rx8 has a pull type and the rx7(FD) has a push, rx7(FC) had a pull type as well. You can use the stock rx8 transmission, or you could use a T2(modified rear housing for the ppf), or you can build a FD one using parts from the 5speed rx8(if you can find one).

I am also planning on keeping the stock gearbox as i dont want huge power, hopefully 350 at the wheels and i will be happy. |
