I have a 2004 Rx8. I want to swap a 13b rew motor in it i have the renesis motor it runs great i just want to swap the 13b rew motor in my rx8 for power and compression rate. I want to know a part breakdown and prices so i know what I'm looking at. My family member has a shop so labour charges won't be a problem.
Everyone says it costs a lot but i want to know what i can use from my motor and what i need to buy if anyone knows the price breakdown pls let me know by pm or reply here

Do you have around 10 grand to spend on just parts?
Is this a secondary/weekend car?
Has your family member done a swap like this before?

If you answered no to any of those questions, don't do it.

Also the only thing you can use from your stock engine is pretty much the front cover assembly and the throttle body.

the price for all of that stuff is 1799 it is on their website.

 

I can tell you what you don't need on that list... the transmission, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, twin turbos, exhaust manifold, throttle body, starter, power steering. Also on that list, there's no such thing as a distributor or a valve cover on a 13b-rew. If your family member who is helping you has done the swap, you need to talk to them. It sounds like you're in over your head.
