Info on this brice?
Thats would make a lot of sense. Some of these guys could have hangers that are 8 years old. I will def. replace them at the same time with a new exhaust. Could that play in movement also be the cause of melted shrouds? Either way, RR or HKS I'm gonna purchase it through you. Everyone who has it seems to be happy with the over all build quality and the sound. I'm just nit picking on the fine details thats all. The melted shrouds would be on any exhaust really so I don't believe it to be the movement, it really occurs on the inside of the shroud so it is hard to see. It occurs because of the increase in diameter on tip. |

The tip is certainly not painted, it is blue burnt stainless steel.

It occurs because of the increase in diameter on tip. If you can't notice it then it wouldn't bother me but I've heard from several people with the agency power melting the $h!t out of their shrouds. I'm actually selling my old ones to a guy with the AP and his melted but prob. due to a clogged cat. I should be meeting up with ZoomZoom tomorrow to look at his. |
Got to actually see and listen to the exhaust today. It sounds awesome, it's loud but not to loud, has a great tone. I saw where zooms shroud melted a little but he had to point it out to me and I had to get down and actually look into, towards the back of the shroud to see it. Wouldn't have ever known if he hadn't pointed it out. I've found my new exhaust. Will be purchasing it mid febuary, thanks for all the imput brice and thanks once again zoom.

Not a problem man!

I think I've finally decided on my exhaust. I will be ordering as soon as I get my tax refund in. Will be within a week or two. What is the est wait time on a mid-pipe and cat-back if when I do finally order they will be back ordered. Thanks for any info.

Will be shipping in Early March.

From the other thread on this exhaust:
"We are going to be releasing a mazdaspeed style single exit add on lip so it eliminates the empty space. I have talked to the manufacturer already so this is going to happen by next spring most likely." So is this still in the works cause I am very interested |

Looking forward to placing my order and getting my exhaust. |
Update on rattle,
It appears I may have a unique issue. I finally got the car on a lift, armed with hangers to replace them all, but I found the problem, it's not the hangers. It seems the pipe passes to close to the passenger side of the "tunnel", so close it's almost touching the heat shield for the fuel tank. Once the pipe passes the diff, it ever so slightly taps on the part of the frame that goes down towards the suspension. I tried to move the pipe around, but that seems to be it's "natural resting position"? All exhaust flanges good. I went run back to AZ and got some header wrap and wrapped the pipe by the diff for now. No rattles anymore. But still going to bring it to an exhaust shop and see if maybe I can get the pipe bent to fit better. |

Apologies. I assumed since some had the unit and it was listed on RR's site, that it was actually available. That appears not to be the case. My bad.

this may be for me. I am currently running one of the first 5 racing beat cat backs made. installed mid 2004--i think--dang thing is still doing good/tips still good, but after 8 years I need a change. Will not hurt to lost a little weight either.

this is definately for u man... u can make a fake pipe and extend it to the other side to make it look balanced ;) |
I ended up getting a good deal on the HKS out of state to avoid florida sales tax. Did buy the mounts though, I had those put on before the exhaust arrived and I was amazed by the difference. Sound wise I could not tell the difference between the Raceroots and the HKS.
The single exit tone is wonderful, but it does vibrate my brains when I get on it, I'm getting a silencer to go in the exhaust to tame it a little, it's very loud. The cheep agency power mid pipe actually sounds good with the single exit exhaust. It sounded like crap on the stock exhaust, or the exhaust is so loud I can't hear the rasp anymore. Single exit exhaust in my opinion has the best tone out of any of the dual systems that I've heard. Can' tell the difference between the RR and the HKS, I really only payed the extra for the bling of the titanium (I love shiny things) tip. Everyone who wants to save some weight and doesn't mind the exotic look of the single tip should snatch up RR exhaust when they come back in stock. Well worth the money. |
Is there an update as to when these will be back from the manfacturing plant? I ordered mine at the end of February. I'm excited to finally get mine installed on the car.

The price increase comes from added expenses for shipping costs and we will see the price change when these arrive and are ready to ship. |

Just got an update back from them today and they are expecting another 3-4 weeks before completion. The bad news besides the delay is that there will be a price increase when these arrive, the good news is that customers that have already prepaid the $350 price point will get it at the price point and I will NOT charge more due to extended wait times.

Yep Free.

They will remain at the $350 price point until they come back in stock. They will ship as soon as I have my hands on them. ETA is end of this month.
|
Update: Order has not arrived to the freight forwarder so no new updates really. Just want everyone to rest assured that we are on top of this and dying for these to arrive. :)

Finally a Firm Date I can provide. It will arrive in port at NY on 6/21 and then it will come down to Orlando.

Really like the reviews on this and want to pick one up. Question is what do you do with the other exhaust side or is the rotary a single exit split into dual exhaust. I hope it isn't a ridiculously stupid question as I had a long ass day at work so not in the mood for searching or even crawling under the car. Sorry. Nevermind decided to get unlazy and search. Answer found. Single into dual for others potentially wondering.

Just got mine installed yesterday. My car is pretty much stock, and is using the stock midpipe. The exhaust was not as loud as some of the reviews seemed to imply that it would be, and Myself and everyone ive showed the car to like the look and the sound of this system.
Driving around, aside from some loud drone at ~3000 rpm I very much enjoy the sound, especially when downshifting. the sound of the throttle blip is perfect. Another plus, is that the volume does not increase too much with rpm, and in fact seems to quiet down a bit over 7k. I enjoy this quality, since it will draw less attention. The overall tone is deep and smooth. I will try to hook up my go pro and get a video up soon. Install impressions. Only unexpected parts of the process, were the spring bolts after the stock mid-pipe. To compensate for the increased flange thickness, I had to shorten the springs. I also had some difficulty getting the tip on, but was ultimately successful. Process took me 3.5hrs (on jackstands) and I was doing an oil change at the same time. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, and feel that it was worth the wait. Quality is above what I would have expected at this price point. Thanks for making a great budget system RR! |
Just got mione a few days ago and installed along with my agency power midpipe. Very easy install as it took under 2 hours for me to install the midpipe and catback.together they are quite loud but i love the tone and the way it looks coming out the back. i am a little worried about how loud it will be once i get the time to put my turboxs header on ;) this is a high quality exhaust and im glad i made the purchase.

|
