Carbon Fiber Hood Dampers!
You have me confused they use the same principle to hold the hood up. Let me know where you are tripping up step by step and I will see if I can help.
I have used all three of the above and no performance difference that I see of and I have had these carbon fiber ones for about 6-7 months so far. I was also in a minor front end collision thinking they would be screwed up but they held up just fine.

Thnks a bunch padilla08 ! I just finished installing them and they work like a charm, not too heavy on the CF hood either, Thnks Brice ! What I was doing wrong was that the dampers will about 5 - 7 mm still compressed and weren't fully out so I fixed the angle wiggled with the adapter a bit and now its awesome :D Do have to cut a bit of the plastic weather strip though but no biggie :D
So, you can 1) uninstall them 2) put one end on the floor (carpet) and push down with all your weight until it compresses. Do this 5-10 times for each one. 3) re-install 4) closing should be much easier
hey guys just wanted to know if anyone could help I just got my tein hood dampers and got them installed on my R3 and everything seems flush except where the hinges r the hood sits up abit and wanted to know how I could get it flush any help would be great!
Unfortunately that would be common for those tein dampers.
I will leave my customers who have purchased the CF dampers to comment on what it has done to being flush with their hoods.
