Will Price Drop for 2004 RX-8?
Hey Everyone,
I posted this in the Canadian section, too; for Candian prices (I'm in beautiful Toronto)! I'm posting it here because I'm getting I'll get more responses. Sorry if I broke any rules by double-posting.
I have had my eye on the RX-8 for quite some time now. I hope to get one within the next year. What I'm wondering is, will the price for the 2004 RX-8 drop once the 2005 model comes out? If so, by how much?
From what I've read, there are minimal differences between the '04 and '05 so getting the '04 model would still be pretty sweet. Thanks!

There won't be an "official" price drop obviously. But dealers will probably be more willing to "Deal" on the 04's to get rid of them. Obviously people will prefer having an 05 if it is going to cost them the same amount of money.

Do you mean: 'will dealers be selling the '04s for less?' or do you mean 'will the RX-8s already out there be worth less?' I think the answer to both will probably be 'yes'. If it's any help, I just picked up our 6MT with GT package today for exactly invoice.

You can bet that if they're not moving units, by November dealer cash will be a nice bonus and if you consider that into your starting offer, you could certainly negotiate a better deal.
Cheers
