What does free maintenance mean? Info from dealer/mazda rep....

I called my dealer (Adzam auto in Bedford Hills, NY) and asked what did the free maintenance include? I know there was some question as to what services would be included so I thought I'd try to get some clarification.

He actually told me that his Mazda rep was upstairs, so he went to ask. He said that straight from the Mazda rep, he was told that the maintenance include EVERYTHING prescribed in the service manul. Not just the oil changes or some other subset. So inspection / replacement of everything as described is included.

I guess that's good news - I hope I'm not sending out old info....

He also did tell me that the buy-back is directly to MNAO and not the dealers. MNAO would have a rep come out and appraise the car (looking for abnormal wear and tear I guess) and the dealer told me that it should be for the full MSRP assuming nothing was wrong. I did forget to ask though about title and other fees...

Sorry - as I mentioned, I didn't get into that too much 'cause I wasn't really interested in that option and that I only paid MSRP (or actually less since they threw in the spare tire kit for free).

Also, as far as future 'fixes' to the issue he wasn't sure and hasn't heard anything. And for the legal aspects of future liability, he wasn't sure what Mazda's position would be (say if they came out later with a 200hp number). But he gave me a customer care number to call - (800) 222-5500.

Calling the 1800#, the buyback includeds whatever you paid for car, title and taxes. If you got screwed with a Dealer fee or markup, it will be given back to you. The problem/loophole is for those who leased, traded-in, financed, or put in alot of accessories above S/T/GT pakage or NAV. These guys, get a case by case review. I am in good shape since I did not have a trade-in and paid cash. I have an appt with my dealership on Friday to discuss the 2 options and negotiate a reasonable end to this controversial declaration.

RR, you've not gonna wait till BOOSTD7 gets his info from Mazda as he discussed here? I'm gonna hold off awhile to make the most informed possible decision, which will prob be late September.
