What do you owe on your RX8?
I am just wondering how much everyone owes on their 8. Well actually I have the ulterior motive of finding out where I stand with my loan compared to everyone else. :D
Just slightly less than $22,000 here.

Whoops...I tried to edit the other post and add one extra poll and ended up with another thread. Could the moderators merge these together or get rid of one please?

Mentalhealth is overrated
I owe my wife a trip to Vegas, a new kitchen table, chairs and stools (from Italy) lazer surgery for her eyes and I'm sure more to come.....so yes, I still am paying off my car.

It's a keeper. I paid cash and owe nada. But my trade in car was worth about $19K, which was already fully paid off.
It's good to be debt free.:D (Well, almost, still got the house mortgage to pay off...)

First of all, I put down $26k (including taxes), and it was hardly nothing. Here's how it done (for you young folk). Buy a car you love, keep your mileage down, own it for 10-12 years, invest what would be car payments or lease payments, and you should have plenty for your next car.

Exactly What I plan to do with my 8...Almost 2 years old and only 11,700 miles. Later this year when I go to Korea it will be in storage for a whole year which will also keep the odo low! I should be able to have it paid off by the time I get back.

Even if you financed the full amount (say about $31000), your total loan amount would only be $37500 with interest compounded over 5 years.
Your payment would suck (about $630 a month), but you would be down to about $19500 by now if you bought it two years ago.
Talk about being upside down.

Interesting...there are lots who owe nothing, but equally as many in the 15,000 - 25,000 range.
Guy...I just feel really sorry for you right now. I am glad you love this car because you would have to be VERY comfortable with it for the next 3 or 4 years until you even out your loan and the car's worth. Care to explain how you ended up owing so much? Note the poll - you are not alone.
