Went to go look at an 05 RX8 today, a few Qs.
So,
I went to go and take a look at a 2005 RX8 today, and I have a few questions about the exterior and interior.
The one thing that stood out from the exterior is one of the headlight washer covers has a huge gash on it, how much would it cost to replace that? I tried looking online, couldn't find anything.
The interior was pretty good, there were a few scratches around the plastic parts of the front seats, normal? As well as that center console sliding part where it hides the cup holders when all the way back it's solid, but when closed it's wobbly, like it can move side to side a bit, is that normal?
Thanks

Sorry but it's hard to say without knowing where you are....
One of my washers was replaced after a wildlife run-in and I remember it being expensive because the entire assembly was replaced. I think it was about C$200. Outside of insurance it would be cheaper.
Interior scratches on the hard plastic are normal. The centre slider is usually covered under warranty when the sliders break. It's very common.

The entire assembly wouldn't need to be just the cover, as it's just scratched up, I tested them and they still work fine.
I am in winnipeg, manitoba if that helps.

You should check on the warranty. I think it's 3 year bumper to bumper so the slider should be covered.
I have to take my 8 into GG's Thursday morning for its scheduled oil change. Maybe you'll be signing the deal by then? :D

Well...there are a few other RX8s I'm looking at.
This one and the red one at GGs are the ones that stand out the most to me.
The only problem I have with the red one is it's an 04 and I fear transmission issues...unless if the issues are common in all the years =/
