extended warranty are scams. Invest the money and if you need a repair use that money. My 8 is also a 5/2003 build and have 117,000 miles I feel that batch was a good one and you shouldn't worry. Also posting what they claim they will cover is not as important as posting how they will avoid paying. Post the fine print that would be nice to know.

Do NOT get ANY extended warranty !!!!!

I would rather u dump those money into some High interest CD account hmm last I checked was like 2-3 days ago and its like 4.25% for 3 months CD

in 3-4 yrs when u have to replace something, U can use those couple hundred bux that u earn thru the CD account.

I had been reading the other threads on here regarding some issues with transmission and second gear. I've also seen a few that had to have an engine completely rebuilt - new $6100 for the motor (i think). I just don't want to be caught with my pants down "so to speak" in the first couple years of owning this car.

Have you noticed how many items are not covered in the "bumper to bumper" warranty? Also have you looked at whats covered in the engine? You don't have most of those items! Pistons, connecting rods, etc. No mention of rotor, apex seals, etc. The car they are covering is not an RX8.
